Simple, elegant, and excellent for the parlor or the studio.

This small-bodied, easy-to-play gem recalls the era when guitars were built to be played on front porches and in dens and parlors, not bars or voluminous theaters. There's no rhythm section to compete with here.

Just pick up this great looking 00-sized acoustic with mahogany body and solid spruce top for that sweet vintage tone and ringing sound. Features a set mahogany neck with hand-fitted dovetail neck joint, 24.75" scale, rosewood fingerboard, and chrome hardware. From the period-correct mother-of-pearl dot inlay to the deluxe pickguard with historic metal "E" logo, this guitar authentically recreates the treasured original L-00 "blues boxes" of the '30s and '40s.

Comments about Epiphone EL-00 Acoustic Guitar:

I received the guitar today and the first thing that I noticed was how pretty the color is, its a very dark vintage sunburst. I tuned it up and played it.... and was I surprised.... the action is very low with no buzz right out of the box.The tuners are small chrome grovers and keep it in tune very well.I dont care for the large E that Epiphone puts on the pickguard and will remove it.I will also replace the plastic nut and saddle with bone.I would recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a smaller guitar with a big sound at an afforable price

Not a parlor

By James V McIntosh

from Troy, NC 27371

Comments about Epiphone EL-00 Acoustic Guitar:

This is not a parlor sized guitar. In fact, it seems closer to the size of a Gibson J-45. Mine had following problems...big glob of glue under finish in front of bridge (on outside of guitar) (about 1/4" deep x1 1/2: long)...back of bridge was lifting...2 bushings on tuners are stripped and won't tighten. I don't mind the aesthetic problems so much, I repaired the structural problems except left glob of glue (no way to remove it without ruining or redoing finish on guitar. Sound is not at all bad with extra light strings. I do somewhat resent that I paid full price for what is obviously a blemished (badly) or second's guitar. But, now it sounds good and plays well so I guess I'll keep it. They wouldn't exchange it after I re-glued the bridge anyhow. If you can get one without the serious blemishes that mine had, it is well worth the price...but it ain't a parlor guitar.

Great guitar

By Alan Herrick

from North Carolina

Comments about Epiphone EL-00 Acoustic Guitar:

I got this Epiphone EL00 as a replacement for my stolen Gibson LGO. It is a fine guitar with great sound and wonderful play up and down the neck. It is the best small box guitar I could find and recommend it to any one with smaller hands and needing a smaller guitar. I was very surprised at the quality and sound.
