Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

The guitar is very well made and has an unbelievable sound, especially with light strings.I had to raise the nut on the high side, and I think the saddle could be raised just a bit,but that should have been done by epiphone. Other than that I really enjoy the guitar,it's just a little bit brighter than the Hummingbird but pretty much the same as far as playability.I'm glad I bought it. lemon oil the neck it helps.

    Outstanding Acoustic/Electric for the price

    By Eric-8j3EH

    from Sarasota, FL

Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

I've had this guitar for over 10 years, and I can honestly say it's as good if not better than some of the higher-priced Gibson acoustics I've played around with. It has a smooth, rich tone and sounds even better plugged in. Mine is all red (I have never seen another like mine), and except for a few imperfections in the finish looks exactly like it did the day I bought it. I love my Dove!

Beautiful, well built, and very playable budget guitar

    By Martin Hansen

Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

First I need to commend Music123 for getting this to my front door -- !free shipping! -- the day after I ordered it. This seems to the norm for this company and it speaks well of their organization and service. They shipped the guitar in one of their economy cases and it came set up, nearly in tune, and ready to play. This one is the natural/chrome option. Surprised to see a nice set of Grovers on it. The guitar is made in China but set up in the US. Fit and finish are immaculate although I would prefer to not have the maple sides and back stained Chinese raspberry red. The guitar is light and not particularly deep and the neck radius is medium wide and medium thick -- its easy and comfortable to grab and play without a lot of effort for bar chords as well as finger picking. Neck is straight and the frets and bridge are reasonably accurate all the way through according to the tuner (within 3 cents max). Action is good -- medium -- but the stock strings seem a little heavy for this guitar. The sound is tight, metallic, and somewhat shallow -- I am hoping it mellows with age. It doesn't compare to my '75 Yairi for depth, balance, and playability or my newer maple Carvin auditorium for clarity and projection but I didn't expect it to. If you are looking for an inexpensive, well built, comfortable guitar to sit in the living room or around the campfire with and have fun without worrying about unnecessary wear and tear, I doubt you could do better than this Epiphone Dove.

    A great guitar

    By Peter-e1g_4

Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

I just bought one and it is a beauty. Beautiful sound, looks and feels good to hold. The only other guitar I like more than this one is the Gibson Dove. There's not really an awful big difference.

Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

This is an amazing guitar. The only guitar that I have played that I like more is the Gibson Dove. There isn't too much of a difference. This guitar is beautiful and it sings to you. If you don't buy it for the looks buy it for the sound... you won't regret it.

    The very Best Acoustic Electric

    By Charlie-Xk7Ij

    from Bel Air, MD. USA

Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

The easiest acoustic I've ever played. The action is very low, nice narrow neck and a very warm sound. Of all the guitars I own, this is my favorite.

Part two, of My First Review.

    By Don-e.7-r

    from Missouri

Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

My recent review of the Epiphone Dove here, I should have added something also. In my recommending new Epiphone Dove buyers should go the extra mile and have a Tusq saddle, and Tusq nut installed, to bring out the full potential sound of this guitar. I wanted to say also, that I installed new Martin SP Phosphor Bronze strings, in light gauge. These strings really are great sounding on this Dove.

    A Really Good Guitar.

    By Don-e.7-r

    from Missouri

Comments about Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar:

The Epiphone Dove is a fine guitar, in its own class. The workmanship and detail of the guitar is great. To get a really deep dreadnought sound from it, go all the way, and have a Tusq saddle and Tusq nut installed. I did this to mine just after I purchased it. By doing this, and with a proper set up to my liking, I have not only a great looking guitar, but also a great sounding dreadnought. The Maple body, and solid spruce top really helps too. You can't go wrong here.

I like the way it looks, but never heard, played or even seen it in real life. I think I am going to buy it anyway.
