Warm, woody tones for a tiny price.

The Epiphone AJ-100CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar brings the look and sound of the Advanced Jumbo to everyone. Guitar comes with standard AJ features such as a select spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a rosewood fingerboard. The AJ-100CE includes a cutaway body style and the Nanoflex pickup for electric amplification.

NanoFlex pickup
The term "Nanoflex" refers to its ultra thin (nano-like) profile and its flexibility that allows it to conform to any surface shape. This assures complete guitar-to-pickup-to-saddle contact. Unlike other undersaddle pickups, the Nanoflex design utilizes 7 highly-sensitive and ultraresponsive layers of sensor material to not only sense the vibrations of the strings but the vibrations of the guitar body as well. The Nanoflex is the first pickup to incorporate active amplification directly at the pickup. As a result, the signal does not pass through even a single millimeter of the wire and therefore, the signal quality is uncompromised.

Features

  • Mahogany body
  • Select spruce top
  • Set mahogany neck
  • Nanoflex pickup under the saddle and endpin jack
  • Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay
  • Chrome hardware
  • 25.5" scale

Greatly pleased

By T. Parker

from J'ville, AL

Comments about Epiphone AJ-100CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was very pleased when I recieved my guitar a couple days ago. It is well built, sounds great (with a string change) and also sounds as good (or better) plugged up. The tuners seem well made, and the finish is great. The frets are very smooth, and finished nicely. For the price, I don't believe there is better guitar on the market. A couple notes for beginners: the strings will need to be changed, and the cable that comes with it shouldn't be used. A note for more experinced players as well as beginners: the action is not the lowest I've ever seen. It could stand to be lowered, but as I play mostly chords, it's not a big deal. Great for beginners or players on a budget, or as a guitar to haul.

Great Beginner Model

By RLDav

from Okla

Comments about Epiphone AJ-100CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have had the 100 for about a year. For the money it is a very nice guitar, easy to fret, and has a nice sound. It could have just a touch more mellow sound, but is acceptable. Great beginner model. Great buy for the money.
