Quality Instrument!
Comments about Rhythm Band ChromaHarp Autoharp:
This chromaharp has exceptional quality! It is very durable and holds up well around preschool and elementary aged children. It has a great sound while lap playing or holding it upright. Once the strings were broken in, they held their tune really well also which is a great feature!
The only complaint that I have is that the plastic string protector/cover at the bottom of the instrument is lacking in durability. The hinge on the one side broke fairly easily when the protector was opened to expose the strings. I was able to tape that part of the cover, and it is has held up since.
If you are looking for a great sounding and durable instrument for personal or classroom use, this chromaharp is a great investment!

Chromoharps are easy to play
Comments about Rhythm Band ChromaHarp Autoharp:
I have played autoharps for about 8 years now. I have Oscar Schmidt and Chromoharp as well as some antique instruments. The Chromoharps are VERY wll constructed with bracing which prevents top failure. Sadly my top of the line OS45ce does not have cross bracing and the top has failed within a few years. Chromoharps are basically indestructable-the most recent one I acquired when I cleaned out a rental house-someone tried to set it on fire! The harp came thru dirty but unscaved. A real testimony to the craftsmanship in these harps. 15 chord harps are a good way to get started. If you play in a band you might want the 21 chord bar one for the occassional chords not on the 15 chord models. Can't ask for an easier instrument to play. Press a button and strum. within 5 minutes you too can be playing songs. Just try doing that on guitar, banjo or any other instrument. Mr. Zimmerman knew what he was doing when he invented these instruments.
