Redesigned for professional quality and tone.

At the top of the line of the Regal Studio Series Resophonic Guitars, the RD-40 Resonator has been redesigned from the inside out making it one of the best values when it comes to truly vintage-inspired, professional featured, resophonic instruments. Using Regal's many years of experience in the development and construction of traditional American acoustic instruments, they discovered ways to improve upon the most legendary designs from the past without pricing them out of the reach of any level player. Only the finest materials are used to create these new designs that reminisce of the past, while still meeting the demands of today's modern players. The new body shape takes its cues from instruments of the past; while the real secret to the tone of these instruments lies within. It all starts with a combination of Regal exclusives, such as the Power Reflex Tone Chamber for added volume, the DP-126 die-cast spider for its bell-like response, and a US-made, hand-spun aluminum cone. All together work in perfect harmony to assure the maximum, most articulate tone that can be heard in any playing situation.

    Comments about Regal RD-40 Resonator:

I ordered the RD-40M open box mint shape.
The guitar came re-boxed in mint shape not so much as a scratch on it. The fit and finish was excellent!
Most of my guitars I have to set up my work table and set up right away. So far I have not had to touch anything on this guitar, string height and action are great right out of the box. Great sound, loud with good sustain.
I have not played slide on it yet though! But I think it will sound great!

    Comments about Regal RD-40 Resonator:

Regal's many years of experience of traditional American acoustic instruments e.g. the Resonator style guitar is clear with these new, vintage inspired guitars... I wanted something both for recording and live performance which kept cost down yet not skimpig on quality... Regal delivers all around. Why is this great quitar lower cost? Labor costs are lower so Saga passes on the savings to you... nothing cheaply done here, cone, body, etc.. all top notch. I use to record a discreet Pyle omnidirectional condenser mic which via a Baggs preamp does an outstanding job for recording.. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a quality instrument for perhaps the lowest cost possible. Regal is king for their airspace.. bar none.

    Comments about Regal RD-40 Resonator:

I could not be more pleased with the Regal RD-40 Resonator guitar. The quality of this instrument far exceeds the budget price tag. Excellent finish, action, detail, playability and overall workmanship make this guitar an exceptional buy. I have 16 other guitars some of which are considered collectibles and I have no reservations about hanging this guitar on the wall with the rest of them. The only problem is I can't stop playing it! Highly recommended if you are looking for a low cost Dobro style resonator. MUSIC 123 is a great place to get it as well. Great service and price BEATERS.
