Hawaiian koa shaped into a stunning tenor uke with exceptionally rich tone.
The "Malibu" from Lanikai is a top--of-the-line tenor uke that takes full advantage of the natural beauty and tone of Hawaian koa (the wood has been culled from the top 1% of the Big Island's koa tree population found in the high ground around two of the most recognizeable volcanos). Much like the lava that flowed from Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea that formed the beautiful land surrounding them, the Malibu is sure to help you create lavish melodies that will entrance those within earshot. It is masterfully crafted by Lanikai's expert luthiers and includes solid Sitka spruce bracing and a quatered koa spine, genuine solid mahogany neck with rosweeod fingerboard, and a custom cut real bone nut.
When you order the Malibu, you'll also receive a deluxe hardshell case with blue plush interior and a traditional hand-carved koa makau pendant necklace.
