Classic design and beautiful wood with attention to detail, all at a price that will make you smile.
The Lanikai LU-21TE Ukulele is based on the best selling Tenor Uke offered by Lanikai with added professional grade Belcat UK2000 electronics for playing in louder environments. This handcrafted tenor ukulele is made with Nato wood (otherwise known as eastern mahogany) on the top, back, and sides. When this wood choice is paired with the rosewood fingerboard it brings out a mellow tone with an enhanced midrange that is often missing in instruments at this price point. The LU-21TE also comes with die-cast tuning machines geared 14/1 for easy tuning.
Even if you've never played ukulele before, get ready for a world of fun with this Lanikai uke. It's an addicting instrument that can be taken anywhere. If you can play one uke you can play them all. With the easy playability, and included instruction booklet written by Mary Lou Dempler, you will be playing songs in no time at all.
This ukulele is strung with Aquila Nylgut Strings and includes a Lanikai Learn to Play Instruction Booklet.

Comments about Lanikai LU-21TE Tenor Acoustic Electric Ukulele:
I dont know who to blame but the part where the preamp controls are, is broken. Not one time this happened to me but the second they sent me another one it was broken again in the same place. It seems as if they make the hole too small or they push too hard on it.
The instrument is well built. It has excellent strings, a beautiful grainy mahogany neck. The preamp sounds very clear and punchy and it is very easy to play.
