Admittedly, I have no concertina experience, so I have nothing to compare it against. But, it's a decent starter instrument for not a lot of dough. The craftsmanship is so-so. The bellows are not completely airtight (they aren't leather either), but what do expect for a hundred and a half. The intonation is pretty good, a couple of the notes are off by about half a semi-tone. The straps are not leather either. Does come with a pretty good padded storage bag. All in all it's fun and doesn't cost a lot, so if you find it's not your thing, you aren't out much.
