Sounds and plays great
Comments about Fender FM-63S Mandolin:
One of these days I will own a Gibson. But until I can afford one, this one will fill the need. What a nice mandolin for the price. It sounds great and after playing with junk, I picked on this one and found I am not so bad after all.

nice little mando
Comments about Fender FM-63S Mandolin:
This Fender F mandolin is a nice instrument for the price, due to the quality of the woods and the good construction. The sound is not so bad on the treble side, but the spruce top is too thick to provide a good bass tone. The tuners have to be changed for the instrument to be tuned easily. Overall, it's a nice beginner instrument, but not a real stage performance mando.

GREAT DEAL FOR THE MONEY
Comments about Fender FM-63S Mandolin:
I purchased my Fender over a year ago and all I get from people every where I go is praise, for it's good looks and it's great sound. For this price range this a mandolin you don't want to pass up.

Best value for appearance, craftsmanship and sound
Comments about Fender FM-63S Mandolin:
The Fender mandolin is constructed of all the "right" materials in the right places and is well put together. There are few flaws in the workmanship, and none that an untrained eye would detect. It looks good, plays easily, and has good sound and good projection, especially in the higher ranges. Its sound does not ring quite as deeply as a Gibson. Nonetheless, it holds its own even when surrounded by a pack of Martin Dreadnoughts. The only "cheap" touch about the Fender is the plastic handles on the tuning machines.

Great sound, nice bark, good value.
Comments about Fender FM-63S Mandolin:
I purchased a Fender in February and can't put it down. For the money, I could not find a cleaner sounding, nicer looking F style mandolin anywhere. The attention to detail and decorative inlays are nowhere else to be found at this price point. Buy it and enjoy.
