pretty good mandolin

Comments about Fender FM-53S Acoustic Mandolin:

I owned this FM-53S and FM-52E, the FM-53S has solid top and sound really good. I wish it has a pickup but it does not, that's why I have to also buy the FM-52E (both were at really good deal).
The FM-53S has better tuner (gold), gold tail-piece which looks very nice. It is also very solidly built.

Great instrument, great price

Comments about Fender FM-53S Acoustic Mandolin:

I have several Fender products and find them one of the best values on the market. The mandolin looks great and sounds even better, I've had mine now for over a year. I've played Gibson, Kentucky, and all the others and for the money Fender blows them away.

A very nice mandolin for the money!

By

Comments about Fender FM-53S Acoustic Mandolin:

I had gotten away from music for about twenty years when the idea of taking up the mandolin popped into my mind. One thing led to another, and I ended up getting a Fender FM53S. I probably would not have done it except that it was such an inexpensive instrument. I really have to admire Fender for putting out such a great instrument at such a reasonable price, and I have to thank them for getting me back into music. I would also like to point out that the appearance and finish are much superior to any of the other low-priced mandolins that I have seen. I have since moved on to other more expensive mandolins, but I have kept my Fender and I still play it fairly often. The funny thing is that my more expensive instruments do not sound that much better, and they are no easier to play. So what can I say other than the Fender FM53S is rather like a paperback novel. It has all the features of the real book, but it brings the story at a price that anyone can afford.

Comments about Fender FM-53S Acoustic Mandolin:

I have had a Fender 53 for about six months now. I play it at gigs, jams, etc. For the most bang for your buck, I don't think it can be beat.

This mandolin plays and sounds as good as my friend's Gibson. He says it even plays better.
