High-quality crafstmanship and tonewood blend give this mandolin a tone as beautiful as the powerful river it's named after.
Named for the largest river in the Pacific Northwest with a design aesthetic inspired by Kim Breedlove, the Columbia KO Premier Series Mandolin offers an excellent appointment package for devoted Breedlove mandolin players. This Premier Series mandolin is composed of the highest-grade Sitka Spruce for the top, and Western Big Leaf Maple for the back, sides and neck. Black binding on the body top, back and neck accentuate the angles and contours of this KO style.
The design of the K-style features Breedlove's original asymmetrical peg head as well as a defined cutaway on the bass upper bout. The Columbia is finished with a captivating red toner full-gloss finish. The radiused fingerboard (which offers great comfort) is adorned with a detailed mosaic pin inlay and oversize frets. Gold hardware is standard on all of the models in the Premier Series mandolin line. For amplification, the Columbia is equipped with the K&K Twin Internal electronics system.
