eMedia Piano & Keyboard Method Educational Edition makes teaching piano and keyboard easier than ever. The software includes over 300 lessons from an instructor who has taught at the Juilliard School of Music.
The Educator Edition manages up to 250 users, provides progress tracking and includes an easy-to-follow teacher's guide. The Educator Edition works as either a single workstation for students, or when combined with Student Editions, can track student progress over a network.
When used with the Educator Edition, the Student Editions enable multiple user log-in, progress tracking and output progress tracking data to the Educator Edition. Each Student Edition is licensed for a single computer station.
330 step-by-step lessons start from basics such as hand position, rhythm and playing on black keys, and move on to music notation, sight reading, scales and much more! Piano teacher Irma Irene Justicia, M.A., guides students with over 70 video demonstrations of various techniques.
Student's progress is tested through interactive music theory review and ear training quizzes. When used with an electronic MIDI keyboard, students receive specific interactive feedback on note and rhythm mistakes made while playing songs and exercises. An overall percentage score is tracked for each song or exercise, so a teacher can easily review how well students are progressing through the course.
Students learn songs and exercises from either the music notation or an animated keyboard that displays fingerings in-time with the music. Songs and exercises are enhanced by live recorded audio, variable-speed MIDI keyboard tracks and colorful MIDI accompaniments. Students learn from over 100 popular classical, blues, pop and rock songs, including hit songs from composers and artists such as Ludwig van Beethoven, J.S. Bach, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan and Elton John. Other accessories include a built-in digital metronome and a one track recorder.
