Fantastic for live vocal applications!

If you want your vocals to be heard, the Shure Beta 58A Mic is built to make it happen. It's a high-output, supercardioid dynamic microphone designed for professional sound reinforcement and project studio recording. This has made it a leading choice among vocalists and touring musicians worldwide.

The Beta 58A maintains a true supercardioid pattern throughout its frequency range (50Hz-16kHz) and a shaped frequency response that is ideal for close-up vocals. Its neodymium magnet provides high sensitivity and output. The superb performance of this microphone is not affected by rough handling because of its rugged construction, proven pneumatic shockmount system, and hardened steel mesh grille. So whether you hold it in your hand or mount in on a stand, you'll get the kind of sound you planned.

Features
  • Frequency response tailored for vocals, with brightened midrange and bass roll-off to control proximity effect
  • Uniform supercardioid pattern for high gain before feedback and superior rejection of off–axis sound
  • Neodymium magnet for high signal–to–noise output
  • Hardened steel mesh grille that resists wear and abuse
  • Advanced pneumatic shock mount system that minimizes transmission of mechanical noise and vibration
  • Minimally effected by varying load impedance

The Very Best!

By Slackerjack

from Undisclosed

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

I truly love this microphone. It has served me well in every aspect of my musically charged life. Whether you are rehearsing, recording vocals or instruments in your garage for a demo tape, playing clubs or even larger venues, this microphone will cover all your bases for you. It has got a nice warmth to it and for someone like me who sings in the upper register a lot while competing sonically with a band playing quite heavy rock n' roll songs, it is a perfect match. It carries my tone and voice as if I'm a canary bird singing away. There's a reason why this microphone is probably the most utilized by professionals in a live setting everywhere. Buy it and you'll have a microphone for life.

Excellent Live Vocal Mic

By Matt-g08gG

from Salt Lake City, Utah

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

The Shure Beta 58A microphone is an upgrade to the classic Shure SM58 mic. The Beta 58A gives you a hotter output signal and isn't as finicky when it comes to moving around the mic like the SM58 is. It still retains that warm bottom end when you put your mouth right on the mic but it still sounds good when you pull back a little. I like having the little extra power I get from the Beta 58A. I highly recommend it.

Work Horse

By MusicMan Mitch

from Baltimore,Maryland

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

I'm a Karaoke DJ and I've used this mic constantly for about 8 years, every Friday and Saturday Night. I also use the Audix OMD2's they are very good mic's and also very tough! But the Beta58a is most dependable, feedback resistant mic I've ever used. I also have used AKG d 9000 mic's, they have a 20khz limit but have a great deal of feedback.

VERY VERY NICE

By Robert Cates

from Largo Florida

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

I've been using the infanous sm 58 and 57 for years, time for a new mic-tried this and am nothing short of amazed at the difference in clarity and power. I make frequent use of a ditech vocalist live 4 for harmonies, and this mic REALLY makes a difference in the clarity of the vocals through this unit. Worth every penny and more.

My best microphone

By Robert Belen

from Sumter SC

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

Compared to several microphones I tried-the Beta 58A is by far the best value...We have no issues with feedback and the sound is warm and detailed highs and impressive lows. This microphone is better than my SM 58 or the AudioTechnica.

By Evan-.MPbj

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

I have been using this microphone for like 4 months, and it's awesome. Perfect. It's warm, clear, playing with distance is a total pleasure. It even looks good! Many bands use it for stage mic, but using it for home recording is great.

Nothing Better At Any Price!

By RON-L95gn

from Southeast Georgia

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

Been using these for about 7 years now, on stage and in the studio for vocals. Unrivaled crispness, and the super-cardioid pattern isolates almost everything except the singer in front of it, so much higher volume to feedback ratios can be realized. They are especially well suited for high ambient noise environments, such as a gymnasium.

Great Mic!

By Ben Jones

from Ruston, LA USA

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

I got this mic about 7 months ago, and since then have never stopped loving it. It delivers a brilliant sound that the Betas are known for. I've had no complaints, and have not gotten one dent or scratch, and I definitely have dropped it a few times.

The mic that cool people use

By Bobby Morton

from Wenatchee, WA USA

Comments about Shure Beta 58A Mic:

This microphone is the best I've sang on. Great clear response to all vocal range. It has a tight sound, so your "P's" and other percussive sounds won't overwhelm the others. I also have beatboxed on this mic and it sounds great for that. I definitely recommend it.
