I purchased a 18" ZXT and was pretty disappointed. Looks great but doesn't really have a nice sound. Too gongy for me.

I tested the 16 and 18 inch models and they sounded . . . OK. They had an average response to bundle sticks and wire brushes. They sounded bright and "glassy". However, they were a little too brassy and harsh when playing a roll with yarn mallets. I feel that these cymbals are more applicable for practicing rock music than for jazz. I also feel that these are good "road" and/or "open jam night" cymbals if you find yourself in a situation where other drummers (or those who think they are drummers) are going to be playing on your cymbals.

I got this as a Christmas present from my aunt and uncle (14 inch) to replace the 16 inch crappy crash (with a 3 inch crack in it)and all I can say is that this cymbal is AWESOME. Zildjian rules!"to those about to rock, I salute you"ROCK ON!!!!!!

I got this cymbal (16") a few months ago and have been using it quite often. It is my first crash cymbal. It works great for what I play. It has a very crisp crash, quick enough decay, and some other nice sounds when playing around with it. I'd highly recommend it to anyone, and I'll be getting a 14" to go with it soon.

I Love the way this Cymbal matches up with my A and Z custom cymbals. It has beautiful tone, very fast decay and best of all its very cheap. This cymbal is a steal for the money they are asking for it. I'd say, all though A's are a bigger name, Go with this before you spend more money on an A.

Just bought a Zildjian 18" ZXT thin crash and it is very nice! Nice tone, and sustain. This cymbal matches up with other crash cymbals that are priced 30+ dollars more. I recommend giving one a try.
