An explosive, all-purpose crash for beginners. A great all-purpose ride!

The Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal is a splendid fast crash with a bright high-pitched tone. Sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of ZBT cymbals magnify the basic sound of the distinctive ZBT alloy.

The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the ZBT series cymbals cuts through the mix of other instruments. Sheet origin and precision lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly with a rapid decay. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent. The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh. Superb all-purpose ride cymbal. Excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones. ZBT-Plus cymbals take Zildjian Bronze Technology up a notch with advanced hammering and lathing and enhanced sound for versatility, musicality, and professional performance.

This sound of this cymbal is exactly what you will read on the Zildjian web site, bright, LONG decay (even though the Zildjian web site says the ZBTs have a short decay) and high pitched so if you don't like the high pitched sound go for the ZXs or try the ZBT rocks, or if money isn't an object that go for the cymbals that you will find in any proper rock drummers kit, the A customs. If you already have this cymbal and you don't want the high pitched sound but cant return your cymbal give your cymbal about a year WITHOUT polishing it, a layer of "galvanization" will form over the cymbal increasing the rate of decay and lowering the pitch a little. This of course also complies to the ride and Hi-Hats.

Excellent delivery time and quality

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

The delivery time and the product was delivery in perfect conditions..

The Crash cymbal sounds pretty good, a higher pitch than his brother, the ZBT Rock, was the sound I was looking for

Great cymbal, low price

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

For the money, this is the best you can get. It's very bright and has a pretty long decay. I think it sounds good for fast crashing if you tighten the foam, but I depends on your taste. I tried putting moongel on the bell, but that lowered the length of the decay too much for my liking. This crash is very loud and very bright so it's cuts through the other instruments effortlessly. All in all, great crash!

Here's my honest opinion.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

I bought a 16" and an 18". The 16" is a high pitched cymbal thats great for rock, alternative, metal, good for genre's in that area. I can be a hard hitter, and this cymbal held up for about a year's worth of playing, around 2hrs a day. the 18" cymbal is good too. it has a kinda low ring to it, i actually use it for my ride cymbal and crash. So these cymbals are well put together and definitely worth your money.

Great 16in. and 18in. Cymbals

By JJ Lazos

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

I own both of the 16 and 18 inch cymbals and love them! Their both great cymbals that are sold for less then they should be. They have a great sound and are perfect crashes for any drum set. The best part is, no matter what type of music your playing, their not to high or low. They sound great!!!! Even though their bells have an unsatisfying sound, their great cymbals and are totally worth the price!

Good sounding crash

By rlane2k

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

I have owned the 16" version for over a year and am very pleased. Bright initial tone with a long decay - no cracking or denting as others have stated - and it even gets better after some dirt and grime buildup. Sounds great when hit with the tip or the shoulder. I find that it fits well with many different forms of rock music. Everyone suggests an eventual upgrade to A Customs which I can't say are better or worse sounding, just different. Perfect for a beginner and you might just hold on to it for a while.

ZBT Crash

By Bailey

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

Overall this is a very good starter cymbal. It has a 'warm' sound and a long ring to it. Good for a starter or concert band. If you have lots of money, invest in a better one like a ZXT.

O.k. cymbal....but

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

This is a decent cymbal for the money but you could do better with Zildjian. The sound is a little too close to a lower end Paiste but for the money it will do.

Out of the box I didn't like the sound, plus after a few months it cracked. I guess I got what I paid for.

okay accent cymbal

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

I just got this (14") cymbal and its a pretty good accent splashy sound but its already pretty beat up looking (i got it today) (my other zildjians are over 20 years old and have been owned by my various uncles and cousins and look in really good shape still) but it still is a good addition to my set

Great price, Good cymbal

By Drummer of Lake Town

from Lake Stevens, WA

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Cymbal:

I have had the 16in crash for 3 years now and just within the last 6 months or so did it begin to crack...the crack got really bad so I replaced it with a Sabian B8 but it was a great but and will last a long time as long as you tread it right.
