Nice ping, yet dark

By Daniel Roldßn

Comments about Zildjian K Heavy Ride:

This is an excellent option if you find the A Rock Ride too high or the A Earth Ride and K Customs too low or dry. It is brighter sounding than regular Ks, but not as a Ping or Rock model. I own a 20" it gets along very well with my other ride (20" regular K). Cuts through amplified music without being annoying. Very clear ping and stick definition, yet warmer than other heavy ride cymbals.

Comments about Zildjian K Heavy Ride:

It took me around 2 months to find my perfect ride cymbal. This is awesome. Great ping yet not too high. Amazing warm undertones that don't sustain too long. Exactly what I was looking for. If this is the sound you're looking for, try this out.

If I Could Only Choose One Ride...

By Wayne-XjWm_

from Maui, HI

Comments about Zildjian K Heavy Ride:

The newly redesigned K series cymbals developed using the latest modern hammering techniques have truly updated the classic K sound into a much more versatile, dynamic and bold voice. My new "K Heavy Ride" is a perfect example of this revolutionary new sound. Not only is it able to retain its lush, warm characteristics in any articulate acoustic setting but also just as easily can it drive a fully electrified ensemble when needed. The ping is prominent yet not overpowering and always very musical. You get the idea - this cymbal for me has it all. I own a number of other brand name, high-end rides that I'd use depending on the musical situation but ever since I began using this one, the others just kind of found their way in my storage closet collecting dust. If I had to make a choice - I really wouldn't have to...This is the one ride I'd keep.
