The 2nd generation of ride cymbals designed by renowned jazz drummer, Bill Stewart.
K Custom Dry Complex Dry Ride II cymbals incorporate many of the successful design elements of the original Complex Rides that were modeled after Bill's distinctive Ride sound. These custom ride cymbals feature a wider bell with a much lower profile to promote more control while offering a smooth array of rich overtones. Weight specifications are slightly heavier (medium-thin) than the first generation of Complex Rides, to make the cymbals more versatile, providing ride patterns that can be heard clearly from within an airy wash of overtones.

Comments about Zildjian K Custom Dry Complex II Ride Cymbal:
This cymbal is designed to lay down a 'bed' or 'cushion' for the other musicians. While the 'tah' of the cymbal is low volume, the wash is substantial, not not overpowering. With a small amplified group it provides background fill to balance and hold the songs together. The bell is very low volume, but for acoustic situations and light amplified it can be used to good effect with a light Latin ride beat. The bell almost sounds like wind chimes when hit in the right spot. This cymbal likes to be played in a narrow range on the bow, about as wide as the "K" logo. Similarly, the bell has to be coaxed at just the right location, but in both cases the sound is worth it. Great for jazz, acoustic, low volume amplified. Wash is best contained and ping is most pronounced by a light jazz stick with a medium sized bead. Small bead sticks produce a pronounced 'tah.' A 5A is almost too much unless carefully controlled. But in the right situation, this is a beautiful instrument!
