These are one of the best versatile hats you will find. Great for all styles. Very tight on an open close for jazz and funk. You won"t be disappointed, what ever style you play.

Amazing

Comments about Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair:

I have just recently replaced my old hats for these new beats(14"). I wasn't sure what hats to go for but with the versatility and popularity these offered I couldn't turn it down. They sound incredible and project a lot more then I expected. and as far as durability goes...I'm sure I couldn't break these in a life time. reading other peoples reviews sold me into these hats so I have to return the favor. You won't regret buying these!!!

New Beats are the best cymbals for a wide variety of music from rock, country, gospel to swing. These cymbals serve up a sound that is universal. A potential buyer can not go wrong with the New Beat series from Zildjian. Hope this review is helpful to someone new to drums and cymbal selection

Comments about Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair:

This hi hat is awesome! I used it from my friends friends house, and it is great. It is the best sound I have ever heard out of a hi hat. I like to borrow it and it can be played for every type of music. It has a great sound to it. I like It.

15"s are great

By Mister Man

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair:

I've played 14" hats all of my life until recently. After much trial and error at my local drum shop I decided on a pair of 15" New Beats. They're fantastic. The pitch is lower which is nice to my ears since open/close patterns aren't so shrill. My only complaint with newer hats is that I feel they're slightly too heavy, but I've played with these a while and have had no knicks, dents, cracks, etc.

Benchmark Hi-Hats

By Keith from Arkansas

from Little Rock, Arkansas, USA

Comments about Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair:

I've used the same pair of 14" New Beat hats in my setup for the past 15 years. In that time, I've played several genres of music including country, soft jazz, rock, and metal. New Beats record very well and sound great onstage. If you're looking for the most versatile hi-hats out there, then buy a pair of New Beats.

Best All Around Hats!!

By Chris-op0qG

from Granger, IN

Comments about Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair:

These hi hats sound awesome for every style of music. For some styles some players may prefer the sharper sound of the paiste dark crisp hats or the zildjian k/z hats. But, if you're looking for an overall flexible set of hi hats for many different genres, get the new beats!!

Great overall cymbal

Comments about Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair:

I just bought these high hats a few days ago, and I played them on a dw set along with an A custom mastersound and K custom mastersound high hat set up. I chose the new beats over the others because they had a nice crisp sound with good stick definition. Also, they sound really good partially open, but really good closed too. These seem like they are very versatile, and I personally will be using them for both rock and jazz applications. Can't go wrong with these babies!

Durable with lively sound

By Aram

from Baltimore

Comments about Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair:

I have to say that these cymbals are tough cymbals with a versatile sound and will handle anything you can throw at them. I can say this with confidence because I purchased my New Beat cymbals back in 1983 so they are 21 years old and look and sound just as good as the day I mounted them on my high hat stand. I'm a heavy hitter. An old classic rocker and I have been happy with the New Beats. I think you will be too.
