I have had other drummers tell me that they would love to have a cymbal that sounds this good. The cymbal is a 17 in. A Custom Crash. This crash works well for unmiked situations like jazz and other acoustic situations. A true musical sounding cymbal with full body and proper decay for a crash cymbal. Every drummer has a perfect cymbal sound in his or her imagination. This one works very well for me.

I do not personally own this cymbal, but I play it on a regular basis. I use the 16". This cymbal is very responsive, bright and full bodied when doing crescendos. Although it does not shimmer for extended periods of time (which is good).

I really like the quick, clean attack of the A series cymbals. The decay doesn't linger and from recordings I've made of our shows, these A series cymbals are crisp and defined. The finish does lose it's luster with time and fingerprints, but that's not why I keep using them. I've got some different rides, but my crash cymbals (and splash) make my playing sound that much more energetic and precise. I'm using the 10", 12", 14", 15", and 16" sizes....and I love'em.

This is a good cymbal. Comfortable licks. Great sound. Nice and bright. The sustain is lacking a little, but other than that, this is a great buy.

This cymbal is great for my style of drumming: rock. From any style I like to play, from Red Hot Chili Peppers to All That Remains, this cymbal is perfect for driving chorus situations which are omnipresent in every style of rock music. Blends well with my Zildjian ZXT Titaniums.

I've played drums for over 30 years and I've played a lot of cymbals. Although I've like many of them, these A Customs are the best, and here's why. They open up easily, and you can play them at even lower volumes and they sound great. Some cymbals are only for heavy hitters, and you have to really whack them to get the desired sound. Not these. And the sound is sweet, not clangy with overtones. They fit in with most music styles, but if you play heavy, loud music, these will not have the durability you need. They are on the thin side, which is why they respond quickly. I am starting to replace my old A Zildjians with these. They even record beautifully!

These things are awwwsome! They are thin, and do not resonate as long, but everyone will love the richness these things give out! Get these suckers and crash 'em like crazy! Be sure not to break them though. :)

The 17 inch is my favorite cymbal. I love this cymbal it has an amazing sound that works great with all types of music. I also play the 15 which is great too but the 17 to me has the perfect sound.

The projection crash simply put is a sonic marvel. I own a 16, 17, and 18. They have a very good volume range for their weight. Not only does it speak out in high volume situations, it still can be very subtle. I have played the AA Sabian and Signature Paistes, but they simply don't compare to the playability of the A custom.

I have the 17 inch crash, and I love it. It's an awesome crash, with a perfect sound. I like to ride on my crashes as well as crash, so I also have the 20 incher and that is best for my personal taste.If you are looking for a perfect crash cymbal go for the 17. If you are looking for a cymbal that is more diverse go for the 20.
