I had pretty low expectations on these cymbals but was pleasantly surprised. These splashes sound pretty good, kind of china sounding. Not quite like traditional splashes. They are paper thin so I don't know how long they will last but so far so good. I play a wide variety of music and these fit in well with rock, oldies, and soul music.

When I first unpacked these cymbals in my house i was not sure about them (they sounded a little gong-y on my finger), but once I got them in church between a couple felt pads, what a tone. Exactly what I was looking for, Bright attack, fast decay. Has slight gong-y overtone but is undetectable when played with full kit or other instruments. All that and the 2 cymbals are cheaper than some single cymbals. These Cymbals a bit thin so if you're looking for something to beat the heck out of everyday these might not be for you, but I am not a heavy metal drummer and have never broken a cymbal, stick, or head. Additionally these cymbals aren't the loudest splashes I have ever heard but perfect for my venue (small church). I imagine you would have to mic them outdoors. I love these cymbals!!!!
