I recently got back from Wuhan and I know that oriental sound. This is the only China that has that authentic oriental sound. (I know I have heard lots of Chinas) If this is what you want, then you need to get a Wuhan. I have an 18" and I love it. I wouldn't trade it for any other China out there. If you want a china get a Wuhan. They're the best.

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:
I've been playing drums for 18 years but I've never been able to afford the nicer things for my personal kit. I play in the gospel world and I've been guest drummer to several very large congregations whose drummers are used to DWs and Zildjian's. Or top of the line Sonar coupled with Sabian AAX/HHX. I know what quality sounds and feels like. But when it came to my set at home I stuck with the entry level B8, B8pro, Meinl HCS, Zildjian ZBT....so on. I'd heard or Wuahn's legendary china's and thought to myself, "If I get a chance to pick up one of these babies, I'm gonna." Well I had that chance and I picked up one of the 14". I thought it'd be enough to cut through the mix but not overbearing in small venues, clubs, churches. Man does this thing make me play better. It's sound is so....WOW! and In your Face. All you need is the time and experience to know when and how to hit this wonderful cymbal and it'll do the rest. Really brought the level of my kit/set-up up 3 notches. I love it a lot.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

WOW!!! Best Cymbals for your Money
Pros

- Explosive Attack
- Full Crash
- Responsive Feel
Cons
- Cracks After 2 Years
Best Uses
- Metal Music
Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:
I had purchased the large 20" China looking for a good breakdown cymbal with a brutal, deep sound and I defiantly found it. I've been playing the drums for 12 years and playing metal for about 7 years, and I would strongly recommend purchasing any of these Chinas. Hopefully your smart and buy a combination of various sizes at literally, the best prices you can find. But must say, that I have personally played this 20" to pieces, but this was after 3-4 years of playing it vigorously, aka rockin out on it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Incredible investment
Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:
I seriously believe that these cymbals are one of the best investments a drummer could make. I own the 12", 14", and 18" models, and the amazing thing is that even though they look similar, the sounds could not be any more different. The 12" model I use as a stack-like accent effect, but without the stack. It has great bite with a quick decay. Then there's the 14" beast. This thing cuts the air like a samurai sword, bites like a piranha, and then disappears like it's not even there. It is absolutely nasty. Finally, the 18" model is dark and washy, with great versatility. No matter what kind of music you play, each and every one of these cymbals can add variety to your kit.

ultimate china
Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:
This is what a china should sound like; dark, explosive, and trashy. I have a 16" (2 wks) & a 14" (5 years old). Sensible price, durable cymbal. If you want darker tone just get the larger sizes.

More clang than crash
Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:
For the money it's a good buy. I have the 18" China. Someone mentioned it's like hitting a trash can lid. It's better than that. It's use is for accent. I wouldn't want to ride on it. Tone is on the low side. I'm curious if a smaller one would sound higher in pitch and more to my liking. For as cheap as they are I may try one smaller

Tight and sharp
Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:
I have a 12" - got it for a good deal at Music123 a year or two back. I personally really like the sound - it's tight and crisp, and is great at filling in the space with sound. I don't hit it very often when playing with a group, though when I do it does the trick. My only problem is the guitar player and bass player hate it - too loud for them. Wuhan is pretty standard for chinas - I suggest you get at least one for your kit to add that extra color. :)
