Rute went beyond Pro-Mark
Comments about Vic Firth Rute Brushes:
What I find amazing about these sticks, and what I consider brings them to a higher level of professionally than Pro-Mark, is that they have that adjustable band. When I'm playing in my concert band (I'm in high school), I'll move the band to the end of the stick, farther from the grip, to get sharp sounds. When I'm in my jazz band one period after that, I'll move the adjustable band to around the middle for a more "frizzle" type of sound, very jazzy. My conductor loves them. And when I'm rehearsing with my rock band, all I have to do is decide what song needs what style (usually I'll put the adjustable band against the grip) and just adjust my Rutes.
