I've been playing with nylon tip 5B Extremes for several years on my acoustic set and would never play another brand. Vic Firth is unmatched in their commitment to quality and consistency. My very first pair of sticks were Vic Firth 5Bs. I've tried many different brands, but Vic Firth's 5Bs have always been my stick of choice. I tried out the extremes several years ago and found that they have that extra reach and power that you don't get with the standard 5B. This extra feel translates to more confidence around the kit and a better overall feel when playing your drums. Try them out, you won't be disappointed.
