i am not a drummer (i play piano and guitar), but i joined a drumming circle and wanted a good djembe i could play without spending too much. for a non-drummer, this is a fun instrument to play. i can get all sorts of tones out of it, and it is rugged and good looking. incidently, when i first ordered this djembe, it seemed to have gotten lost. after a couple months, i contacted music123 and they very quickly sent another one. good djembe and great service from music123

I'm sure this drum is ok. I've ordered it myself. The only problem is that Music123.com are unable to deliver it. I've waited for 8 weeks, and it still isn't shipped. When contacted, Music123.com can't give a serious answer to what's taking so long. That is if they even bother answer me at all! I've tried to get answers app. 8-10 times and have only gotten two answers where they blame the vendor!

As an African Born Drum teacher I hate to say this but this PVC drum is very good. I even use it in my classes when I have to stand for long times to play. It is so lightweight. I am able to achieve acceptable tone ranges. Slaps are better than any other Synthetic drums and Bass is better than most all drums. I am, as an African, happy to see this drum in the market as wood supply for wood djembes is getting scarce.
