Awesome Freakin Snare!!!
Comments about Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel Snare Drum:
Of course being a huge Metallica fan I wanted this drum as soon as it hit the market- WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING IT OR HEARING IT! Given the years. ( 20 to be exact! ) that I've played Tama I knew that it would sound awesome and be of great quality. Tama really delivers on this snare! Yes it's heavy and loud but also articulate. You can really hear ghost notes and rim shots sound like shotgun blasts! In my opinion, this drum can be extremely versatile, especially depending on the types of heads used. I've owned this drum now for 8yrs. and never once considered getting rid of it. I've played shows and recorded with it and evry time it's the same thing.....Dude that is one BAD A#$ SNARE! What is it? On another note, the drum just looks freakin awesome! The Diamond Plate Steel shell just looks way cool and intimidating. But what would you expect from one of the heaviest and hardest players in the biz...Lars!!! Everytime I look at and play this snare, I just smile!

Wow
Comments about Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel Snare Drum:
This snare drum is awesome. The sound is loud yet shaped, it works perfectly for most types of music, as long as your style of playing changes to suit that genre. I am able to have loud cracks where I want them and a light Big Band style snare when I want, WHAT A DRUM!! :) rock on

Great snare
Comments about Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel Snare Drum:
I'm not a huge Lars fan, but I have owned this snare for4 years and I love it. I have used it for several different bands and styles of music and if you are selective about what kind of batter head you put on it, you can count on it for just about anything and any style of music. For metal I used the Evans Super Tough, for prog. rock the Aquarian Focus X, and for all around rock the Aquarian Response II coated or a Remo Emperor. I love this snare. It compliments my Artstar Customs perfectly.

Dude!
Comments about Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel Snare Drum:
I'm 14 and have been playing for 6 years. evidently I don't know much about crack resonance and all that other stuff, but when I got this snare I was overjoyed by its performance. I can't imagine having a lesser snare than this top-of-the-line magical sounding snare!

I just got this snare last weekend and I fell in love with it right away. I just love the power I get with snare. My ears were tingling after I got done practicing even with earplugs. That's how awesome this thing is. Definitely worth the money.

This snare is good.
Comments about Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel Snare Drum:
This snare drum is worth it. It's really good for all music, but especially metal. Tama makes the best drums. You can always trust their drums to sound whatever way you like, and their hardware is the best. This drum is very consistent too.

Ping!
Comments about Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel Snare Drum:
Have you heard this snare in the new recordings? Hats off to Tama for creating the true heavy metal snare drum. I love Tama and the Starclassic performer is a great set with a lot of bang for the buck. Try the Artwood 7-ply maple for a lot of tone options.

the best sounding snare I've ever owned!
Comments about Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel Snare Drum:
I'm so sick of hearing these tiny, paper shelled-sounding snare drums in heavy bands! I wanted something that would cut through, sound tight but not small with lots of resonance, crack and presence. This drum delivers in spades! My hat's off to Tama and Lars for designing and producing the best sounding snare on the market! Plus, it looks awesome and is easy to maintain! WOW!!
