Great stand! Highly recommended.
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
Such great stands! At one point in time, I owned 4 of these. However, I downsized, and reluctantly sold 2 of them. These stands are very easy to adjust. The wingnuts are solid and reliable. Everything is smooth and stable. The boom/straight conversion is very easy to do! Loosen a few bolts, adjust the tilters, drop the boom arm into the top tube, and it's all set. The gearless tilter is a definite plus. Adjust the cymbal to ANY angle, tighten it up, and it's SOLID. I haven't had a single problem with slipping at all. Once it's set, it's set, no matter what the angle. The boom arm DOES jiggle a little, when you have it extended farther than half-way. But there's nothing to worry about. I haven't heard any stories of them breaking. I've mounted a 12" tom, 18" crash, and a 10" splash on one stand with no problems whatsoever. Many people actually prefer these stands over the DW 9700 stands, costing twice as much! Very sturdy, especially if you have it straight. Overall, I highly recommend this stand. The feet are large and sturdy. The legs are solid and fold up easily. The entire stand folds up quite compactly. Worth every penny, and more!

Wonderful stand!
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
A simply wonderful stand. I only own two but that's all I really need. The power these stands have is amazing since I have a floor tom and a 22" Ride cymbal on one. They sadly lack memory locks but I ordered some tama memory locks so not too much of a con. BUY THIS!!!

What a drummer needs.
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
I have one of these for my 18" Sabian Crash, and let's just say the cymbal is always where I need it to be. Never moves or falls on me. Extends even more then I need it to (good thing). I suggest getting some of these for yourself. Strong, nice looking, and most of all, inexpensive

swings when you ping
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
I'm not sure how the other reviewers stands are set up, however my experience with the road pro boom arm cymbal stand line is that they tend to jiggle up and down as you ride your cymbals or crash. The price is reasonable, but there just seems to be a little to much flex in the boom arm.

Well built but inconsistent
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
I purchased three of the cymbal stands and the hi-hat stand together. Two of the cymbal stands have a slight wobble in the leg attachment area - they are strong, but they jiggle back and forth slightly. The other cymbal and the hi-hat stand are both solid and do not jiggle. It seems like the rivets attaching the legs to the tube are not tight enough on half of the stands. Also, no memory locks are included which is a drag. They stand strong though, and they get nice and high.

Great Stand!
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
This stand is probably one of the great stands to come out. I mean I have got at least 9 boom stands and this is the most stable, most reliable, and personally the coolest one. I mean I have a 18" AAXplosion crash on it and a Tama 14" by 11" floor tom on it too and does it wobble when I hit either. The only time it would probably fall down is if you purposely tried to push it down. Overall out of 10. 15!

Great stand
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
Tama has really done it. A great stand for the money! I use this stand to mount a 10 inch tom, along with a 16 inch crash, and it is miles more stable than the Tama swingstar dx stands. This roadpro series stand's shafts are a noticeably bigger diameter than the dx series, which is added security for my expensive investment.

A perfect stand
Comments about Tama HC73BWM Roadpro Boom Stand:
This stand is the perfect cymbal stand for any kind of situation. If you practice in a small area, or have limited stage space you can easily convert it to a straight stand, or if you have enough space you can have a boom stand. It's also very durable and doesn't wobble around from vibrations, like those given from the kick drum. I use two now and wouldn't hesitate to purchase a third and or fourth if I wanted to add more cymbals.
