This strikingly unique Black Metal Bell is a fun, versatile cymbal hand-cast from heavy B20 bronze. The top surface has a dark, earthy, raw finish that contributes to its thick, focused, dry sound. The cymbal has a smooth lathed underside that allows it to pierce through the music with a brilliant resonance and a lengthy sustain. The large bell levels off into the lip.
Because Black Metal Bells are hand-crafted, each one has a subtly varied shape and its own personality with individual tonality, volume, and colorations producing several unique voices, depending on where and how you strike it.
BMB cymbals can also be stacked, played like mini-hats, inverted above larger cymbals, or held in the hand and played like percussion instruments.
The smaller diameter cymbals are higher pitched while the larger ones are darker, with the 7" versions having a wider range of pitch variation. The lighter versions have thinner sounds.

Was looking for a bell that wasn't so "bright" & "throaty" sounding. I love all of Zildjians products, besides their bells. So I went in search of something a little darker sounding and found it in the Stagg Black Metal Medium Bell. This thing cuts but has the darker overtones I was looking for due to it's unfinished "black" side. Great sounding bell fits easily into any set up and great price!!!

This bell is really versitile! I have the 6" Medium! What I noticed first and foremost is the asthetics of this little effect cymbal. It has a dirty grungy look on the top and a brilliant and shiny finish on the bottom. The raw top gives an overall dry sound. When hit on the cup of the bell is has a pingy sound, however when hit on the rim this bell gives off a complex mix of tones that sounds beautiful! And it also doesn't have that loud ring out that a lot of the other bells have. To say the least this bell is great for the money. I have played Sabian Alu-Bells, Zildjian Zil-bells, LP Ice-bells. and still nothing has come close to what I was looking for in a bell. This bell shimmers when struck. You wont find a better bell anywhere else!
