I also own the Gibralter of the same style...The seat on the SP is larger with thicker padding, so I like it for longer practice sessions. However, the feet on the Gibralter are larger and the smaller size of that seat makes it easier to get in and out of the drum set without repositioning stool, so I prefer Gibralter for live performance. Great price...

I'm an older 230 lb beginner and I wanted something comfortable, easy to adjust, and sturdy. This fills the bill completely.
It's a little tricky to re-position without getting up though, because the seat rises up. So I pick it up by the seat, which then extends about a foot, and re-position it. Not a problem, but good to know.
One of the reasons I picked this stool was the height adjustment. Reviews of similar stools aparently have problems with that, but this one works well.
Music123's price for it was also great.

I bought this throne for 16 year old nephew. We searched the internet together and he choose this one. Ordered it for him and the product was here in 3 days. The fasting shipping I have ever received. After unpacking the throne my nephew went straight to his drums and palyed for hours. The adjustable height fits his own 6 foot frame well and he was never sore or tired from sitting on the seat like he would from his last throne. He truly enjoys it. He loves the saddle type seat, gives him that leg movement that he needs. I cartainly will be using Music123 again for other products in the furture.

I play bass and wanted something comfortable to sit on. This throne is perfect for that. It is solidly built and feels like it'll last a long time. I like the fact that the post is threaded as opposed to some collar that'll slip after time. I find it comfortable, even when sitting for three or four hours. For the money, you really can't go wrong here.
