Comments about Sound Percussion SP880SS Double-Braced Snare Stand:

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this snare mount. It's solid, built well, and clamps onto the drum and never lets go. Once folded up, it becomes extremely mobile. I was surprised when I first recieved the item, and I went to pick it up. It was heavier than I expected!

    Seen better...also seen worse

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880SS Double-Braced Snare Stand:

Sound Percussion products usually work well for me, so I wanted to love this inexpensive little babe. Unfortunately, there was a problem out of the box. The bolt on the riser wouldn't tighten enough to keep the basket from literally spinning around. I was going to send the sand back but took a closer look first. The culprit was the wingnut. It's threading didn't match that of the bolt, so it wouldn't go in very far.

My first tries at tightening had stripped the bolt, so it was off to the closest hardware store, where I easily (as these things go) found replacements for a buck and a half. The new bolt and proper sized wingnut work fine (although the wingnut isn't exactly a thing of beauty). The snare I bought the stand for now is rock steady.

Another drumming crisis averted. Whew. But let's face it. I shouldn't have had to go through that. And neither should you.

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880SS Double-Braced Snare Stand:

i broke my snare stand and needed one cheap and fast. this stand is just fine for the price. i dont think it can take a whole lot of abuse, but put it in a stand bag and it's a keeper.

    nice stand

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880SS Double-Braced Snare Stand:

This is a really nice and heavy duty stand. It breaks down to be put in the case. Does not wobble and the 14" drum sits on it just right. Recommended.

Cheapes snare stand on the market

    By Scotty, the boy wonder

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880SS Double-Braced Snare Stand:

I literally went to Guitar Center and asked for the cheapest snare stand they had (I had just purchased a Lil Squeeler) they brought this sexy beast out to me. I did not open the box thinking i would wait until i got home to see how flimsy it was...... I WAS SO FREAKING WRONG! IDK if its double braced or any of that stuff, but this thing is sturdy...Better than the Pulse snare stand (which I also own) by alot... This thing has unique rubber feet holding the snare, and they are bigger than that of those I have seen on other snare stands. I have replaced 3 stands with sound percussion stands since buying this one and plan to get another of these soon.
