great stand for the price

By mike kelly

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

Great stand for the price,..I have been a professional drummer for 44 yrs. Have played, and used most every type of drums, and hardware. I have 3 of these stands, used mostly for practice sets, but, have, on occassion, used these on a job. Light weight, sturdy, solid base, you can't beat this stand for the price, a great entry level stand, or as an add on for your set. You will be pleased with product.

This stand is badbutt!

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I've owned this stand for a year now and it has held up to all the crap I've put it through! It's held a 16",a 14" crash,18" crash/ride,and a 18" China, and at one point it held a 12' tom and my 16" crash, but wobled a little but never fell over! I take my hat off to Sound Percussion for a awesome cymbal stand!

A Very Good Stand for the Price

By Seth-ZcsR1

from Boston, MA

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I've used this stand with a 20 ride cymbal. It's excellent. Plenty of adjustment for angles and reach. I've also managed to use this with a 12" tom attached with a bracket. Set up right (with the legs positioned properly) it can support both, but not both on the same side, as it will tip. Great for the price!

Affordable and works well

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

It may be the cheapest stand on the market, but that doesn't mean it doesn't do it's job well. It's a stable, durable, functional stand. It may not have all the features of the more expensive stands, but it works and you can't beat the price for a functional stand. The tilters all have teeth, so it's not quite as adjustable as it could be, but you can put your cymbals where they need to be. Overall, a great affordable stand.

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

It's an ok stand. It does do well will not moving at all. I hit very hard when I play and it barely budges. The thing I don't like about it is the part the actually on the cymbal doesn't close tight enough so my cymbal move to much.

Best cymbal stand around

By JJ Lazos

from New Jersey

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

This is the best cymbal stand that I've ever used. I have a 20in. Zildjian ZBT Ride cymbal on this stand and I've never seen it move or shake once. This cymbal stand has a long boom arm perfect for any size cymbal and can stand the weight and beating. I love how its double braced and can take the wieght of my heaviest cymbal. This is a must buy cymbal stand and is outstanding for its price. BUY IT!!!!!!!!!

Affordable and sturdy

By William Norman

from China, TX

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

This cymbal stand is both sturdy and affordable. I have tried it on both my 14" Sabian AAX Studio Crash and my 16" Paiste 3000 Power crash, both fully boomed out at a 45 degree upward angle, and the stand held securely. I also tried my 21" Zildjian Rock Ride on the stand, at about half boom, and it held well. The stand can also be used as a straight stand by running the boom arm down the tube. The boom arm runs 17" from the end to the tilter. Two upgrades I would like to see would be memory locks on the joints and threading on the end of the boom arm for a counterweight - but these would certainly increase the price of this affordable stand.

Best boom stand I own

By Tyler L.

from Butler, Pa

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I'm a metal player, and I play hard. It stands and delivers, it the boom arm doesn't move one bit for me. I've owned mine a little other a month now. It's nicely braced and does not wobble. It has nice little grippe parts on the boom arm and doesn't slide! 5 out of 5 for me!
