Comments about Sabian HHX Evolution Pack with Free HHX Evolution Ozone Crash:
I'd like to start by saying that I play prog-rock/metal, so my review is based on the applications of each cymbal for that genre:
Hats: Amazing. Produces a glassy/dark tone when played open and a very smooth but articulate sound when played closed or with the foot. Even works good for blast-beats!
Ride: If you're a heavy hitter (which I occasionaly play that way), the ride is actually not a very good ride for that, but I found that it can work as a dark crash with lots of overtones. Is great for playing jazz-y patterns, but the bell is not cutting enough as my primary ride. It's definitely staying on the set, though.
Crash: Unbelievable. The 16" version is included, and is silky smooth to play. Sound is glassy bright with hints of dark overtones. I'm definitely interested in looking at the 18" model for the future.
Ozone: Not a crash, but not a china. Similar to Zildjian's Oriental Crash of Doom. Awesome for trashy accents.
Overall: Personally, I much prefer the Sabian HH Raw Bell ride for my style of playing, but aside from the ride, every cymbal is perfect for me.
