great ride

By drummerguy250

from san fransisco, ca usa

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

This ride cymbal is perfect. It sounds great, looks good, and hasn't dented yet. (I play quite hard) I say if you're looking for a ride cymbal that'll stay with U for a while, get this 1! It's great!

B8 is Top-Notch!

By sabianrules07

from Mobile, AL

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

Okay, first-off, this ride is perfect for the money. This ride (and the rest of B8 line), despite its price, competes best with Paiste and Meinl. Those complain that it's a heavy cymbal...its SUPPOSED to be that way. The heavier the cymbal, the more stick-definition and projection you get from it. Plus, those that complain about the overtones...remember, this is a SHEET BRONZE cymbal. It's not better than the rest of Sabian's line (AA, AAX, HH, HHX...) because those cymbals are cast bronze. Cymbals from the B8, B8Pro and Pro lines are sheet bronze, so, YES, they are gonna ring, and considering this model's size, the ring will go on for some time. Besides, those overtones will be washed out in the music. True, this ride is recommended for heavier playing, but it's one of the best sheet0bronnze rides for the money. Go Sabian B8!

Great Cymbal

By Ryan-r5OL.

from Oregon

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

I love this cymbal. A lot of the reviews I read were complaining about the overtones. This is supposed to be a rock ride, not a light jazz one. I recommend this cymbal to heavier players cuz it it thick and holds up well to my type of heavy playing.

sweet ride

By Jon-cUNBU

from St Louis, Missouri

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

This ride is perfect for beginners and pros alike. It was kind of heavy, but that didn't bother me a bit. It has a nice sound to it and everything but the only thing I didn't like about it was that it was WAY too bright...so when U hit it.... it went on forever but duct tape or electrical tape will take care of that in a snap

I just got it yesterday and it is better than some of the HHX rides. It's a wicked ride.

Slow Decay, Great Price

By DrumBug

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

The price of this product is what appealed to me the most. However, upon receiving it, I noticed that it was heavier than I anticipated. Also, it has an extremely slow decay and rides over for a long time. To play this effectively, one must get in the habit of choking it after every fill or drum session.
