I got these as extra crashes to go with my 17" Medium Crash. The 16" is a bit high and the 18" is actually alright. It may be because I have very discerning taste but I'd say save up your money for a more high end crash. I mainly bought these (16 and 18) because they came w/ free hardware, and it seemed like a value. It kind of is. But they don't have the volume of Zildjian A Series (although A Series are more expensive mind you). For the drummer on a tight budget I'd say these are a decent pair of cymbals.

Fast and explosive crash, highly recommended

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

This Sabian b8 crash is the third crash I have bought and one of the best crashes I have played. It suits my type of music really good because it is explosive and its presence is good. It is has a moderately fast decay. The first time you play it I will sound like a ride but this sound changes into the explosive crash as mentioned after you break it in. Great sounding cymbal and highly recommended.

Great cymbal for the money

By Hawk Lover

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I got the b8 rock crash and ride last week and love them. Great sound for the price range. I added these to the cymbals that came with the kit. Each has a different tone and sound pretty good together. These are good quality cymbals.

WOW

By Dan-S5R0a

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is worth way more than what you pay for. It has a nice sound that cuts through the guitars on a 4x12 stack. I have played with Zildjian cymbals and they have cracked. With my Sabians,(16 med crash is 1 1/2 years old) they have stood up to my playing for quite some time. I use them everyday and I am a hard hitting Metal Fan. If you want value, Go for this cymbal. If you want sound, Go for this cymbal. If you want durability, Go for this cymbal. Some say that B8s are horrible. I say they are wrong. Awesome product, Awesome Cymbal.

Awesome

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I bought this cymbal because it was cheap, but it has the sound I was looking for. It's a great cymbal. It's very loud and sturdy which is what I needed for the amount of punishment I usually put my cymbals through. This is the way to go if you want a cheap cymbal.

B8 rock crash

By tj-adBRX

from danville alabama

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

SABIAN is the best. This is a good all around cymbal. It has the trashy tones I wanted and it cuts through all of my other cymbals. I've had it for about 2 months and it doesn't have a crack on it. I give it 2 thumbs up.

Great for the price

By Elliot-gQ3DH

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

When I first got my cymbal, I was a little skeptical. When I think Rock, I think heavy cymbals, but this one is a little light. I put it on a stand and hit it alone. More skepticism. It sounded kind of like a gong, but it might have been my closed minded ears. I played it with my kit, and all negative feelings went away. This cymbal has such a great tone and ring. It rings for a while, which is what I was looking for. Don't let the appearance fool you, this cymbal is great. One word of warning: It is LOUD! I had it on my right side, and after about a week or two of playing every day my ear is ringing. I've started using ear plugs, but this is probably because I have sensitive ears. Its the loudest cymbal in my set.
