This is the best throne seat available today! I went with Roc-N-Soc because of quality, price & reputation of products. I can now play for extended periods of time (sometimes as much as 90 minutes) without any discomfort. With my old seat I could barely sit on it for 45 minutes, now I can play for much longer with no back or leg pain. I did a jam session for 3 hours and only took one break after an hour and a half. The seat comes with a very sturdy steel mount that will fit a 7/8" diameter post, which is what I had on my previous seat stand. It fit perfect! So if you are a drummer that wants to play more comfortably, don't even think about buying it...buy it! You will not be disappointed.

After many years perched on top of an aging Gibraltar vinyl-covered round seat, I finally got around to buying a Roc-N-Soc seat like the one that caught my eye at a music store years ago. Why did I wait so long? This seat is a HUGE improvement in comfort, and I was surprised at how much more stable it seems -- even when stuck on top of the same old three-legged support I was using before. That stability actually makes playing easier, probably because I no longer have to subliminally pay attention to my balance as I play. Its a little bigger and much heavier than my old seat, but well worth the upgrade. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
