It's a fun cheap toy. It does sound great and miked it's even better. I have to hide it from my kids because they want to play with it all day. I'm actually thinking of buying a bunch of these to hand out at gigs to get the regulars involved in songs.

It is smaller than I expected, but it has a good sound. It will embellish music nicely. Don't let the tiny size throw you. It has a good, sharp sound. You can get different styles by using it different ways.

I use these in my baby and preschool music classes, and they are just right. They aren't too loud so we don't feel that we have to shout over them while singing. And the kids love shaking them to the beat!

I agree with the previous reviewer, this is a cool little shaker. It is quieter than the Toca T2105, however. I used it in a concert to accompany a guitar and some singers and it had to be miked to be heard. The Toca egg shaker is at least twice as loud and can really cut through, and would have worked without amplification, I believe. But the Eggz shaker has a gentle sound that may work in the right setting. I found that by holding it end-wise and snapping my wrist straight forward the shot is thrown against the side more crisply and sounds more defined.

These shakers are so much fun! It's kind of getting on my mom's nerves though because every time I get into the car, I take the shakers with me. I love using them. They are cool! I took them to school with me one day, and everybody loved them! They are really fun and great!
