It's the best I've seen for this price. It doesn't move when you play on it. You can adjust the rebound. It's easy to bring everywhere and it's solid. I recommend it to my students. With Remo and Vic Firth, you make no mistake! (sorry for my English, I actually speak french...)

it is okay

This product is wonderful but the rim broke a few days ago. The plastic won't take too many rim shots, so be careful.

Remo Drum Head

By Deborah De Steno

from Undisclosed

Comments about Remo Practice Pad:

I purchased my Remo drum head at the advice of my drum teacher. Since I was just starting out on drums he felt it would be good for me to work on my rudements with just the head. I placed the order on a Monday and by Thrusday in was in my hands and I was practicing! I beat the heck out of this thing from the minute I received it and months later it still looks brand new. I have now moved onto a full drum set but have kept the Remo drum head with my set and still use it. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone starting out on drums. Thanks.

Great Beginner Pad

By Drew-g5rwa

from Cary, NC

Comments about Remo Practice Pad:

This pad is nice for younger, less experienced players. The head has a realistic bounce and you can definitely hear it. For experienced players such as drumline people, don't buy this. I took this to drumline clinics because I didn't want to take my good rubber one, and I broke the side of it doing rimshots. A rubber pad is probably more effective than this pad and is much softer. This one however, allows you to do rimshots. I personally use a rubber pad now but it all comes down to personal opinion.

Great practice tool

By R. Jones

from Kingston, TN

Comments about Remo Practice Pad:

Remo is famous for innovation and great products and this is one of their good ideas. It has a real head feel and texture, good rebound, and best of all--it's adjustable, which can't be said for many practice pads. You cannot go wrong with this one. It's a great practice tool for beginners and for those who have been playing a while. Also, it's good for late night practice--good thing for keeping peace with the family and the neighbors.

great with light sticks

By FreshSnare

from Wesson, MS USA

Comments about Remo Practice Pad:

This is a great pad for a beginner, but try using small, light sticks with it. The rim tends to crack if you use marching snare sticks on it.

Comments about Remo Practice Pad:

this pad is only great for the first 2 weeks, after that the plastic gets all loose and it makes the sound deeper. But when you first buy it the sound is like whoa!

Its a great pad =)

By Josh Thia

Comments about Remo Practice Pad:

It feels like a real snare especially being able to tighten and loosen the lugs..around the rims of this pad.. =) Very good feeling on it...its not only good for beginners...but for semi pros and pros as well...click it up with a metronome or a drumometer and you're on your way to a ton of practices.. =)
