What you see is what you get. I bought two packs for my Roland PD80 + Axis AL2. They do the job. They protect the mesh head as expected, allowing me to play with felt beaters. There are 2 patch per pack, that's very nice. They stick very on a mesh head so you can expect a perfect stick on regular heads. They don't increase the loudness very much (remember mesh head are meant to be silent) but they change the sound: it is now a click-like sound but nothing disturbing. They are pretty large. For regular double bass drum pedals, I would recommend using the double/twin version of the Falam otherwise you'll have to overlap them (which would be a very bad idea). it is ok for Axis AL2 as the beaters are pretty far from each other. They do change (increase) the rebound of the beaters a bit. On the other hand, they allow playing with felt beaters which limits this rebound increase and removes the vibration you have with plastic/rubber beaters (this vibration was transmitted to the pedals and the legs, and after hours of playing that was unpleasant). Conclusion: Those Falams are cheap and add a lot. It's a must have.

...just an opinion...for me, these are the patches I like best for sound quality and durability. I've tried other brands through the years, but have come back to the Falam Slam pads; they just feel better and last. (I use both double and single.) Worth a try for the price if your undecided.
