Remo

The standard for great snare sound!

Introduced in 1968, CONTROLLED SOUND heads are single-ply Ambassador-weight heads with a 5 mil thick black or clear dot in the center of the head. This combination offers a controlled, centered sound without undesirable overtones.

These dual-zone heads have a combination of medium and heavy-duty drumhead characteristics. The outer area of the head's playing surface offers a midrange tone and sensitivity while the laminated center dot eliminates high frequency overtones and adds durability and tonal focus to meet the demands of heavier hitters.

Remo Black Dots

By BGBdrums

from Undisclosed

Comments about Remo Controlled Sound Batter Head:

Recently bought a small set ot roto toms. Used these heads on my old set and decided to try them again. They sound great. For this application i will stay with the black dots. I won't be the only one playing them and since others tend to be a little harder on your gear I feel these will hold up well.

All Around Great Product

By Timmy The Rodfather

from Allison Park,Pa.

Comments about Remo Controlled Sound Batter Head:

These heads are some of the greatest Remo has ever made-I remember seeing them on John Bonham's kit in Zeppelin. We used them in marching band-they were simply the most durable and weather-proof heads we could find. I used them on my old Pearl kit and played a hundred gigs with them. I also think they look cool, too. Try 'em if you play like a steroid-crazed gorilla. I do,and these never let me down.

Remo=awesome

Comments about Remo Controlled Sound Batter Head:

I bought this for my snare and I meant to get the coated with the dot but I accidentally bought a clear, and that sounded awful on my snare. But I used it for awhile and it was good as long as I muffled it with something. But the dot is awesome and I'd say these would be killer tom heads.

I've finally found my favorite head!!!!!!

By Trey Hanna

from New Orleans, LA Baby!

Comments about Remo Controlled Sound Batter Head:

I bought the Remo clear controlled sound for my Pacific lx snare and let me tell you, I have not heard a snare as good as this in my life. It gets rid of unwanted overtones and gives you a nice bright attack since its clear. I enjoy this head and plan to put them on all of my toms.

By I LOVE THESE HEADS!

from Marine city MI

Comments about Remo Controlled Sound Batter Head:

I bought these heads for all my toms and my snare, and I love the sound of them especially the snare. The heads give a nice warm, no overtone sound to your set. I highly recommend them and the black dot.
