That deep, fat sound.

Remo's popular Pinstripe heads are made from 2 plies of Remo clear film and bonded at the collar to dampen both high overtones and overall resonance. The result is a very focused, low-pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics that is ideal for creating a deeper, fatter, controlled drum sound in a variety of studio and live drumming situations.

Me and a friend have had these heads on a set for almost two years now. We both play Metal/Hardcore, and usually play every day. I can say, from experience, that these are the best heads on the market. These are THE best Rock heads that you can buy, and are still reasonably priced. I have no complaints or negative comments about these heads.

Overall, Pinstripes are pretty decent heads. They have lots of high-end and overtones that make for a lively sound. But the thing I don't like about them is that no matter how you tune them, they sound "choked," as though they can't resonate as freely as some other 2-ply heads I've tried.

The ONLY drum head I use

By Michael Hanker

from Downey, Ca

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:

I've been drumming for over 20 years and I discovered these Remo Clear Pinstipes back in the late 1980s and have stayed true to them because they are really strong, long lasting, 2 ply and have that low end "BOOM, THUMP" tone drummers love for playing rock and metal. I do like the Remo Emperors ones too, but I love these more because the tone on these are much brighter and more clear when tracking & recording drums, etc.

The Best Head There Is.

By Austin-XMYD5

from Pulaski, TN

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:

This head is killer! It stands up to any playing situation. It's 2 ply and has an outer ring texture that gives it a durable deep bright sound that every drummer would dream of. I've had mine for about a year, no scratches, no dents. I LOVE IT!!!!

Best Overall Heads

By Timmy The Rodfather

from Allison Park,Pa.

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:

I have been playing drums for over 35 years-during most of those years,Remo Pinstripes have been my favorite all-around heads,as well as the choice of most of my drummer friends. Their durability and unique sound characteristics make them a great all-around addition to any drum kit. Almost every time I took a new kit out of the box,a Remo Pinstripe Pro-Pack would automatically go on in place of the stock heads. I have used other Remo products on my various kits over the years, and have always been satisfied with them, but,in my humble opinion, the Pinstripe series is the most versatile product line that Remo offers.

TRY ONE ON YOUR SNARE!

By Tony T.

from U.S.A.

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:

The clear Pinstripe head just makes your drum sound bigger! Try this tuning method on your snare drum: Put a clear Pinstripe on top and tune it to D abocve Middle C. Tune the bottom head tighter to an F. You may never use a standard coated Ambassador again once you hear how much richer the drum sounds. For a fatter sound, tune the Pinstripe head to C#. I have never had a problem with fine-tuning the head evenly for pitch unless the head was defective. Check to make sure that the bottom ply doesn"t have any wrinkles before purchasing a new head. I have also purchased Pinstripes that were slightly heavier (thicker) than usual every once in a while. The clear Pinstripe is also a great-sounding batter head for your bass drum. They just make your drums sound bigger and richer! And, we all know how great they sound on toms!

These are ok

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:

I put these on my toms on my Fusion kit and it improved the sound by a mile but I guess because my kit is a Fusion it still has a bunch of overtones. But they're very durable. The don't really dent but the stick leaves like a slight slit in the head that isn't a cut but it just looks like it. The will dent if your sticks don't have tips on them. But they would sound really great on bigger toms most likely.

great heads

By Chris -BmlpF

from Sacramento, CA

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:

I put the pinstripes on my Pacific CX kit. Nothing is as good as these pinstripes. They have a full, wet, fat sound and sound good wether tuned tight or loose. I have heard a kit with pinstripes that were over a year old, and still sounded pretty good. These things will bring your kit to its highest potential. They aren't cheap, but they are worth every penny! I will never use anything else again!

classic drumhead

By Bob McCoy

from Nashville,Tn.

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:

I`ve used pinstripes for over 25 years and i`m always amazed how they can make old drums with crappy bearing edges or cheap drums sound good.Even drums that arent quite tuned right still manage to sound good with pintripes.Add to that their outstanding durability and you have one of the best drumhead designs of the past 30 years.I even like these better than Evans Hydraulic, although I like those too.
