Two layers of textured ebony for semi-bright sound in durable heads.

The Black Suede Emperor drumheads feature two plies of textured ebony 7.5-mil film with a unique non-reflective look. Provides a soft feel, focused warmth, and enhanced mid-range tones for snare drums and toms.

Their two-ply durability makes them ideal for hard-hitting applications such as pop, rock, R & B, punk, and funk. They are also ideal for resonant heads because of their esthetic look.

Look killer...sound just as good!

Comments about Remo Black Suede Emperor Batter Drumhead:

Bought these for a Tama superstar SK kit in my project studio. First off...they look killer...flat black. They dont tend to look as ugly with wear either...the marring doesnt look as bad. And these heads sound great! They really opened up the sound of my kit...a deep dark tone...they did need a couple moongels here and there though....at least on the smaller toms. Look like they will stand the test of time too. Several practices with a hard hitting drummer...no dents...still stay in tune nicely.

Not a good long-term choice.

By BGKY Drummer

Comments about Remo Black Suede Emperor Batter Drumhead:

They sounded good, initially, but went DEAD after about 3 months; ongoing issues with the Suede heads (inc. mounted and floor toms) with tuning. The irony is I don't play that much. A nice Slingerland set went from great to junk with these heads.

Comments about Remo Black Suede Emperor Batter Drumhead:

I played these Black Suede Remo Heads on a Mapex kit @ the Summer NAMM Show...These heads have that WOW factor I was looking for, but was unable to find in any other head offerings out there. They have the tone, feel and diffrent cool look., that will set you apart from the pack!
