should've tried em long ago
Comments about Regal Tip E Series Wide Drumsticks:
I was skeptical to try these because I thought the tip would crack due to the reduced mass of the nylon. I now know that I should have tried them the year they came out. Play conservatively and you won't notice a thing; Give them hell and you will see minor dents along the fins of the tip, but don't worry- they keep their shape and don't feel any different than a new pair. I've used these now for a year and find that the tips don't feel as "springy" as regular nylon tips. If you go for a roll on closed hats, you will have to use the same method you would for wood tip sticks, as opposed to regular nylon tips which practically bounce on their own. Once you get the feel for them, you won't use anything else.

Stick with It!
Comments about Regal Tip E Series Wide Drumsticks:
I'd say to try any of the Regal E Series Stix. They sound kinda close to a wood tip as advertised and feel like you're playing nylon tip (which you are). I didn't weigh and compare a 5A E Series Stick to their regular nylon tip 5A Stick, but the E Series seems the slightest bit lighter. That may be due to the fact that Regal markets the E Series having 5A Wide and 5A Narrow. Get 'em both. The difference is noticable enough to warrant switching pairs due to switching music styles as you play. I give them a B for a grade.
