Regal Tip Blasticks come with either thermoplastic dowels or wooden handles. They are softer than sticks, harder than brushes. They play like sticks but produce a soft and full sound. They are great for gigs when you want to play hard but not blow through the band. Adjustable "sound rings" allow you to slide the rings up and down the plastic bristles to produce different sound punctuations depending on your playing situation.
For 50 years, Regal Tip has been supplying great drummers with great products. As the global leader in brush manufacturing, Regal Tip set the standard for what you have come to expect. All Regal Tip products are hand crafted with detailed precision.

My fav of the
Pros
- Good Quality
- Improves Sound
Cons
- Response Is Whip-like
Best Uses
- Low Volume Popcountry
Comments about Regal Tip Blasticks:
I find that I prefer Blasticks to Hot Rods, Tala Wand, and other low volume options. I just bought my second pair, having bought the first pair long, long ago. They have been improved with two rubber washers to tighten up the whip-like bending action of the old version. They are much better now, as far as what my hands tell me. Better control, quicker response, and the tone on drums and cymbals beats out Hot Rods, Tala, etc. I was pleasantly surprised. Highly reccommend these!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent Choice when brushes just aren't enough.
Comments about Regal Tip Blasticks:
Blasticks are an excellent choice whenever sticks are too cutting but brushes aren't loud enough. They come with two rubber o-rings which you can slide up and down the shaft to adjust their stiffness, which is nice for changing the sound you get from them.If you want some examples of how they sound, listen to "Fire and Rain", "Shower the People" and "Copperline" on James Taylor's "Live" Album.

Great and durable
Comments about Regal Tip Blasticks:
I like these blastics because they are versatile and durable. They allow you to be dynamic and easily go from a light country sound to rock. They do not give you the super light "wire sound" as easily. I keep having to buy more as my other drummer friends keep asking for them. You might like them and you certainly can't wear them out.
