The Pulse 5-piece Junior Drum Set is a real drum kit that was designed with the little drummer in mind. Smaller-than-standard drum sizes include a 16" x 12" bass drum, 8" x 5" and 10" x 6" mounted toms, 13" x 10" floor tom, and a 12" x 4" snare.
It also comes with all the necessary hardware: a kick pedal, cymbal and hi-hat stands, and a throne. Complete with a 12" cymbal and a pair of 10" hi-hat cymbals.

I put this kit together for my 6 year old nephew. I have played drums for 30 years. Overall quality for a young starter set is quite good. The hardware is of good quality and better than expected for a junior kit. Being a drummer, assembly was not an issue; but I think it would help to have assembly instructions for someone who is not very familiar with drums. The cymbals are cheap and easy to crack or bend if struck hard, but most kids will still have a blast playing the set. The toms and bass sounded good as is. I had to adjust the snare a bit to get it to sound right. Happy drumming!

We bought this beginner drum set for my eight year old son, and he loves it! We are happy with the quality of the product as well. My husband would have liked it if some instructions would have come inside the box, but he still managed to put it together on Christmas Eve.

This is a nice kit for a little drummer just starting to play. My 3 year old loves playing on it and I've even sat behind them and made some noise. For such a little set, it actually sounds pretty good once its all setup. The cymbals* and foot pedals are really cheap, but that shouldn't surprise anyone, I mean, what do you expect for this price range??? However, the shells and the rest of the hardware are very solid and should hold up for years to come. *The cymbals from my order were damaged in shipping, but M123 made it right by sending me Zildian replacements...very happy.
