Amazing snare for the price. I bought it to replace my terrible snare that came with my set. Great for musicians that play rock and pop music. It has an amazing pop to it that I've grown to love. However, in my wanting to learn more genres of music I've found that this drum isn't very good for things like ghost noting. Since it is vented, it makes the snare less sensitive and makes ghost noting impossible. If you like playing any kind of rock of pop music though, I would highly recommend it. If you want a more universally applicable drum, I recommend one that isn't vented.

Well i bought this snare about 6 months ago and its held up great i never thought i would own a nice pork pie snare but this price was un beatable and the sound it gives is abosolutley amazing i play Worship and Heavy metal/thrash with it and it sounds great for both i would definetly suggest this snare to any body on a tight buget that wants great sound....
