This snare is amazing! I wasn't to sure on how it was going to sound because I like a big fat sound from my snares, but today when I got it, I slapped some Remo heads on it and I was able to get a nice fat sound out of it. It also sound great cranked up tight too! I highly recomend this snare for any style of music. I recomend changing the stock heads to Remo clear Ambassodor for the reso head and a Remo coated Emperor for the batter or even a controlled sound dot head for the batter. The snare for me sounds best when muffled a little bit to get a nice fat sound. Inside the snare it's hand signed by the owner of Pork Pie drums to show good quality.You should buy it from Music 123 also because it's the cheapest place to buy the snare from, and they took good care of the snare before it got to my house.

this snare is everything you want in a snare! put some evans heads on it, tune it up nice and tight, and its ready to go. great for metal all the way to worship music! with this snare, sound alone is enough reason to buy, but it looks amazing as well as a great price! definitely recommend this snare drum for any drummer!

well at first i heard that this wasnt a good snare but i thought it was really cool and i figured i could make it sound decent so i got it and i just mest with the heads and snares for a few minutes and it already sounded better than any snare ive heard its loud but it can also be good for any dynamic sound you need but i played it for my school jazz concert and everyone thought the drum was amazing but i normally play metal with this snare and it still sounds amazing so this is definitly an amazing sounding and looking snare and it is definitly worth the price
