I think this is the best feature of my Pintech set. Although it took some tweaking to stabilize the pad, once it was there I was good to go. I, like the previous reviewer, needed to adjust my beater hight for the best possible performance feel. Double bass pedaling can sometimes cause inconsistant triggering.(this can be remedied to a degree with some module tweaking) One of the major pluses is the upright positioning and feel once situated. If you currently own an inverted set up and want to go upright, I'd recommend this unit.

This bass drum pad is quiet, as the standard pintech concertcast pad, also with impact of my pedal. Also I appreciated the rugged construction. It feels a lot similar to a real bass drum. If you tried the Compact Kick with Inverted Beater, you will get really satisfied with the ConcertCast Kick Pad.Now the minus:I think it could be taller, because I had to adjust my Tama Iron Cobra to stroke the pad in its center, for the best triggering, and to extend the mesh head life. Also I recommend a rubber beater, because the felt beater raise on the mesh surface. It flickers a bit when stroked.
