The Pearl S2000/C Eliminator Snare Stand excells in the stable balance. You can put this stand on a wet floor and it still won't slip, even while your playing as loud as you can. It has adjustable arms that will adjust to all size snare drums from 10" to 16" in diameter, it has very accurate size settings. But I would rather recommend the DW 9300 Heavy Duty Snare Drum Stand, it's cheaper, and more durable. When I got this stand, it seemed kind of fragile and that it could have break anytime soon, but the DW 9300 snare drum stand was really tough, and it delivers more than the Pearl S2000/C Eliminator Snare Stand. The DW 9300 snare stand has memory locks and heavy double-braced legs while this pearl snare stand's legs are really thin, and might break easily. The upside about this stand though is balance, which is very important so your drum won't fall over. All in all, I would recommend the DW 9300 Heavy Duty Snare Drum Stand rather than the Pearl S2000/C Eliminator Snare Stand.

This stand is one of the best stands I've ever known. I've had two other stands and this one is like rock. No wobble, no bend. Very sturdy. The Pinpoint Positioning System is a great feature especially when using traditional grip, you can find the angle that's best for you. I can easily find the right size of the arms when traveling. Pearl did it again; undeniably a great product.Final words: GET THIS STAND! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

This stand beats the competitor in all possible aspects. The solid construction and quick release spikes are very good qualities of this stand. The stands most noticeable feature includes the uniball/ universal joint. Unlike a plastic ball joint, the s-2000 stand incorporates a very solid metal on metal joint for endless positioning of the snare. One lever releases the locking mechanism and the basket can be placed in many dimensions. The only questionable design flaw is the plastic basket adjuster, I have had no problems yet and probably wont. Whats the stand like when incorporating a double bass drum pedal. Is the clearance between the rod and stand acceptable?
