Interchangeable cams make one pedal into many!

The Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal features an interchangeable cam system! Comes with four uniquely shaped and color-coded cams. The black cam is Pearl's original linear-feel cam. The white cam is also linear, but larger in diameter for a lighter feel and increased power. The blue is offset and starts with a light feel at the beginning of the stroke and accelerates with speed and power upon impact. The red is radically offset and provides great response for sensitive footwork and extreme power upon impact. All cams attach and detach easily at the push of a button.

This Pearl P-2000c is a very high tech pedal. This is fine as long as you are willing to make many adjustments to find the feel "you like". I own about ten foot pedals in my collection and it's really about feel ( Fast and smooth) and reliability (never to fail). Foot pedals for recording must be very quiet. The great thing about this P-2000c are all of these above and you should never be board with it because it's so adjustable. Changing the four different cams will give you different feels.(easy to change) Adjusting the throw of the beater also change everything. Beaters have different surfaces for different tones. You can also adjust the foot board for length, again a different feel and for a larger foot. The pedal is built strong and solid! I do like some other pedals too, but this Pearl P-2000c is one of my top pedals which I use on gigs.

Everything You Need

By Steven Couch

from Kailua, HI

Comments about Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal:

I love these pedals, I've had them for almost a year now and they're fantastic. Pearl has thought of everything when they made these: a single can be converted to a double, 4-way beaters, interchangeable cams, 2-way traction footboard, a nice case, everything. The beaters are an excellent way to quickly change the sound of your bass drum and the footboard can make a drastic difference depending on which side you prefer. The cams didn't make as much of a difference as I thought they would but they still worked fine. It is also very silent. This pedal is durable, versatile, stealthy, and well worth the price. If you have the money and the patience to tweak with it a little, it is a great invesment.

Best Pedal...so far!

By Dagan

from Undisclosed

Comments about Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal:

I only say "so far" because the Pearl Demon Drive pedal might be the only thing better. I got two of these for my kit because I wanted the best pedals I could get, and since I'm partial to Pearl. I am VERY impressed by both the speed and smoothness, as I used to have problems with my feet being faster than my pedals. I was actually debating on these or Axis longboards, but these won me over. The build is perfect, the design is not overly complicated, and the cams are a great bonus. I use the white cams, because I like the light feel (and since I am a 275lb. drummer, I don't have a problem with power). Get these, you won't be disappointed!!!

THE BEST PEDALS ON THE MARKET, HANDS DOWN!!

By David-.TElz

from Sioux City, Iowa

Comments about Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal:

I bought 2 of these(double bass) and right out of the box you could tell these were top of the line. They come with real nice carrying cases. The craftsmanship was top line to. I have been playing double bass for quite a few years and when I got them set up they were great. The pedal action is awesome, they stay with your feet and don't have that heavy feel. I had a different brand and they felt like your foot would slap the pedal on the top end to push back down on fast double bassing. I tried each cam, very easy to change. Just a few seconds and your done. Most of the pros use these and I know why!! I recommend any drummer to buy these!!!!

The best pedal in the world

By Matt Ward

from Masieres, Belgium (but I'm American)

Comments about Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal:

Wow....just....wow, I ordered two of these because I have a double bass kit, and I'll probably be using the red cams. Each pedal comes in its own protective, not flimsy, case with a really well made handle, an extra pocket, and a cool little red Pearl logo. Notice that I'm bragging about just the case now. Now on to the actual pedal. They're not kidding when they say that you can really tweak everything! It comes with four different cams, each with its own origional features like how linear and progressive they are. It also has a moveable footboard, and a completely customizable traction footboard! There are plenty more features, but quite frankly I'm tired of writing, so I'm just gonna finish off with this: Save your time. It's worth the money. Get it now!

Great adjustability, not mechanically tuned

By Shane-Hrfip

from Southern NJ

Comments about Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal:

This pedal is excellent because of the awesome amount of adjustments you can make. The cams can be changed with a snap (literally) which is nice for gigging. The other adjustments are great also like spring tension, beater travel and pedal board position. My big complaint is the mass of the moving parts. I recommend using a short beater to compensate for the rotating inertia of the system, especially if you like to throw in grace notes or play fast metal type stuff. Some of the adjustments that you would use frequently also require a drum key which can be a pain in the butt if you are playing out. A beautiful pedal only paralleled in the price range by the Tama Iron Cobra. Play both a few times and pick one. A DW or something that much more expensive provides very little additional quality for the price.

Comments about Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal:

This pedal is superb. I have tried many pedals in my day, and for the money this one greatly surpasses many 300 dollar pedals. No matter what type of music you play this pedal will fit your needs because of the 4 changeable cams.Buy this pedal, you won't regret it.

Best pedal by far

By Michael J. Morgan

from Olympia, WA USA

Comments about Pearl P-2000C PowerShifter Eliminator Chain-Drive Pedal:

I was looking for a new pedal to retire my twenty year old Yamaha strap drive. That old pedal still works but my right foot was hungry for up to date engineering. I tried the Yamaha Flying Dragon, flimsy draggin' is more like it; Tama's Iron Cobra ,not bad, but the beater is a joke; a DW 9000, because it was so expensive. and my new pedal, Pearl's P-2000C. I like the blue cam the best. Buy it. Adjust and experiment with it. You'll be a better drummer for it.
