This pedal is a good pedal. I own the strap drive version played by Mike Mangini at a clinic in 2002. It's definitely good for changing the feel of the pedal with the 4 different cams offered. Now they've come out with the purple and the yellow. The red cam is a little light with a bit less power. The black cam gives the natural pedal feel, but overall the blue cam gives the best feel nice and smooth yet with a little weight for a lot of power at a middle to loose spring tension. I'd say this pedal, especially the double pedal version, is for players who use their feet to play and those who want a light, smooth feel. It's also a good, quiet pedal and definitely durable. The black on the footboard wears off and the rubber grips wear as well, but two years later it's solid as a rock.
