I've owned a number of snares but always come back to this one, like Dennis did. It gets better with age. The dual throw offs provide precise snare tension, as well as immediate change to a crisper sound. I installed phosphorus Pearl bronze snares and an Evans power center head and the sound is great. Snare drums tend to change in sound depending on the room your playing in, but this snare sounds great anywhere. If I would have bought this snare first, I probably wouldn't have spent thousands on other snare drums looking for the sound I wanted.

This snare is really fun to play. Can be used for all kinds of music. Really worth it's price.Sounds allways great, whether you play hard on soft. At last, a snare where you can actually my ghostnotes through all that guitar violence !

I like deep snares, and this one especially.It has a deep woody sound with great dynamics.I can play ghost notes or hard hit and the sound is great. Very good for studio recordings.It has a nice throw-off system on both sides of the snare so you have a lot of options for the tightness. Very good snare, in a nice price.

The Dennis Chambers Signature Snare, is the best snare that I have ever owned. It has a nice tone and it rings out pretty loud without having to really hit it hard. I recommend this snare to all drummers!
